In a attempt to resolve a 204 robot inventory error, a tech note read:
"The "robtest" utility in NetBackup can be used to test or diagnose robotic communication failures. Please see the NetBackup Media Manager System Administrator's Guide for more information on robtest."
I've tried to find this (specifically for 6.5), but unable to. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this guide?
Thanks,
T

Great little program - use it all the time!
fire it up on the Media Server attahced to the robots and you will see a list of TLD's
Select one to connect to it
s d will Show Drives
s s will Show the Slots
m d1 s10 will move the tape in drive 1 to slot 10
m s10 d1 will move the tape from slot 10 to drive 1
unload d1 will do a rewind of the tape in drive 1 to allow it to be moved to a slot if it seems to be stuck
There are a few others including moving tapes to import / export slots etc. so take a look at Mariannes links
