Exclude list does not work

Hi, my master and media servers are all NBU 7.1 on Windows 2008 R2 SP1. I have one MS SQL server (MS SQL 2005, Windows 2003, NBU 7.1). In the client properties, I have excluded the following file types for all policies and all schedules for this client:

*.ldf

*.ndf

*.mdf

However, when I ran a backup job to back up ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES of this client, the file types above were still backed up. Need some help for troubleshooting of this. Thanks in advance.
