Exclusions confusions

Hello

NBU 7.01

Master/media: Windows Server 2003 SP2 x64

Clients: Windows 2003

I've got several clients failing their backups with status 42 and 90. I've excluded 'System_State:\' and 'C:\*' for these particular policies but the clients are still failing on these file lists:

SET SNAP_ID=CLIENT_NAME_1310565071
BACKUP C:\ USING \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy765\ OPTIONS:ALT_PATH_PREFIX=C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\temp\_vrts_frzn_img_496,FITYPE=MIRROR,MNTPOINT=C:\,FSTYPE=NTFS

"media manager received no data for backup image(90)"

....and....

SET SNAP_ID=CLIENT_NAME_1310565062
Shadow Copy Components:\

"network read failed(42)"

Any ideas?

Thanks,

the way I see it:

'C:\*  - you are excluding everything IN C

C:\  will exclude the C drive

See if that little change makes a difference

Have you read this, this is a known issue similar to the problem you have.

Sorry Guarav, I didn't read your post before adding in my last.

I've got too many clients to create individual jobs and specifiy each individual drive letter.

I may try turning off the multi-streaming though and see where that gets me.

Thanks,
