Expiring Catalog Tapes

I need to expire some vault catalog tapes but bpexpdate doesn't do the trick.

Any ideas?

This article was pointed out to me by Symantec support. I was able to use that to expire tapes.

And have you successfully reused the catalog tape yet?

Yes we have. I did quick erases on all of them after I expired the data, just to be sure.
