Flat File backup does not happen properly

VenkatIBM
Not applicable

Hi All,

Netbackup master server version: 7.5.0.5

Client Server version: 7.5.0.4

Client: Windows server 2003.

I have flat file backup policy for windows server where the backup selection is All local drivers. In that server I can see 2 drives c:\ and d:\ drive.

In the policy BMR option is checked and the schedule is daily ( which is differential backup and frequency is 1 day) and Full ( Which is full backup and frequency is 1 weeks)

When the backup is happening for daily shadow copy components and C:\ backup is happening in daily schedule and D:\ backup is happening in full schedule. Also when I tried to do the restore ( Normal restore) I can see only C:\ drive and shadow copy components not the D:\ drive. In BMR restore I can see the entire data.

Need solution for it.

Please show us the policy for this client?

On master server, run this command from cmd:

bppllist <policy-name> -U

Also show us the successful backups for this client for the last week:

bpimagelist -client <client-name> -d 08/13/2013 -U

(commands are in <install-path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd)

Is multiple backup streams checked ?

If yes then the backup of c: d: will be separate backup streams and possible different schedules because c: and d: are scheduled individual.

Uncheck "multiple streams" to use only single backup stream.
