Above log does not show my storage unit details.

So header files have st.unit and media info?

E:\BACKUP\\dell-PC_1355148938_C1_F1 = is the storage unit details.

The backup's seems to be configured on a local drive on dell-pc server.

Although image header files are in text format, they are not meant to be opened or read 'as is'.

Use bpimagelist with -l  (in conjunction with Deepak's TN) or with  -L option to give humanly readable output.

Please do this: run 'bpimagelist -L -backupid <backup_id>'

Carefully look at all of the output, then come back and tell if you found your answers.

This is the header output from one of my site. I used Puredisk and it list the media as aaabA (Default), media server VCB09  and the appliance used to back it up.

"E:\BACKUP\\dell-PC_1355148938_C1_F1 = is the storage unit details.

"

No, this is the media details, not the storage unit.

As was shown later, this field on another backup header showed @aaabA, which is clearly not a STU.

In the case of the backup going to tape, this would show the media id.

Andy2345,

You need to read whay you ask.

You showed your header file and explained you do not see the STU details.

Then you ask ...

"Above log does not show my storage unit details.
So header files have st.unit and media info?"

Well, very clearly if you do not see the STU in there, it's not contained in the header file.
I am not sure why you ask what you have already explained ?

Agreed and Thumbs up  to  Martin.

even my understanding is same.. its shows only the media ID not the storage unit name.

Eh, so Nikhil has a basic disk storage unit path E:\dell-PC and Andy has a basic disk STU path E:\dell-PC as well ... fancy that  ...

I wonder if they both have policies called win23 ???
