How to get media from scratch pool

Hi, our scratch pool shows a lot of tapes which we on the other side cannot see on the Inventory robot ..?? !!

I learned the medias will taken by netbackup from scratch pool to netbackup pool when tapes are required.

It looks like that this does not work on our system, any ideas ?

If you're saying that they don't show up in Inventory of the robot then they aren't loaded in same. Have you loaded the tapes manually but not re-inventoried ('Update Volume Configuration')?

If you are saying that they are in the robot but not been used when required then maybe your scratch pool isn't configured as a scratch pool (right-clickon scratch volume pool to confirm Scratch Pool box is ticked).

Tapes in scratch pool are set to robot type NONE,

aftyer running Inventory they are not listed...

Yes !!!

Robot Type NONE Means Tapes are not  Robot control, i.e in Standalone

Mount the tapes and Re-Inventory the Robot

Hi,

when running 'robot Inventory', check the following option.

robot inventory > inventory operation >

--> update volume configuration

      [v] empty media access port prior to update

And then, running Inventory.

I hope to see good results.
