How to link a policy with some specified media

Hi all,

I am a new user of Netbackup Version 5.0 and i want to backup a folder of my hard disk in 2 specified media (DDS3 Tape) and only those media. Please, how can i tell netbackup to use only those tapes for the policy that i will create, and always check for those tape every time that i will start a new job of the policy?

And how can i lock those tapes with that policy such as a job of another policy can not write on them?

Hi There,

Create a Separate Volume Pool [XYZ], move the unassigned media  [DDS3] to the pool [XYZ]. While creating policy configure the default attribute "Policy volume pool" as [XYZ]. So whenever a Job kicks off from that policy will use this [DDS3] media.

This is 1 way of doing.
