You will first of all need to ensure that you have physical media server available to configure as Robot Control host.
(I assume that you aware of the fact that Media Manager (tape) devices are not supported in Virtual environments?)
Do physical connection (direct or SAN).
Ensure robot and tape drives are visible at OS level (use 'scan' command to verify).
Use Media section of the GUI to move all tapes in ACS robot to Standalone.
You will also need to physically move the tapes to new robot (if not same robot).
Delete all tape drives and ACS robot on all media servers and restart NBU.
Delete all Storage Units for ACS robot.
Use Device Config wizard to add new TLD devices and STU(s). First select Robot control host and complete config.
If you have more media servers, start wizard again and select Robot Control host and rest of media servers.
Verify Barcode Rules and Inventory robot.
Update policies with new STU(s).
Test....

you would need to provide more detais about your requirement..
does the Tape Devices connected to Media servers?
what type of Tape Drives and tapes you have in ACS library and TLD library?
what are the hardware details?

What type of robot do you have ?
SL8500 require ACSLS and can't be TLD controlled.
Besides that I find ACSLS way better than TLD control.

We are migrating same library from ACS access to TLD. All hardware configuration is done. I see robotic control and can proceed to delete all ACS related config. But I am unsure about media migration: First we have to move all media from ACS to non robotic library (standalone). Once TLD robot is available, I understand robot inventory will move all media from standalone to TLD, right? Does this movements have any effect in catalog? It is a bit scary to have a situation where media is not recognized and lost.

this is an easy bit, you just make all media standalone (select all - right click - move - standalone) and run inventory against the newly created TLD device
