Hi, I have a customer whose media server got corrupted (C drive corrupted and cannot boot). They want to rebuild the media server. Their master/media server are NBU 6.5.3.1 on Windows 2003. Is there a guide for rebuilding the media server? I think we can do the steps below:
1. Reinstall OS and tape drivers
2. Reinstall NBU 6.5.3.1 media server software.
3. In master server, configure the media server.
Are there any other settings that need to do? Thanks in advance.

The document you are looking for is the Troubleshooting Guide. There is a 'Disaster Recovery' chapter and contains this topic: 'Media server disk recovery procedures'.
In short, nothing special for Media server since the catalogs live on the master server.
Your steps seem 100% fine. Maybe Deactivate the media server until it is rebuilt.
