Hi Folks,

I have been dealing with a strange issue from last 2 weeks with the Symantec support without making any progress. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Windows master server (2012 R2) running Netbackup 7.6.0.2. Im in a situation to configure the Java console for accessing it from the individual user machines. However , when I try to login from the java console (7.6.0.2) from any workstations, Im getting an error 509.

Auth.conf:

Hmm, is it really Win2012 R2?  We didn't start support of Win2012 R2 as a master until today when 7.6.0.3 came out:

NetBackup 7.x Operating System Compatibility List (updated July 28, 2014)
 http://symantec.com/docs/TECH76648

(see pages 3 & 29)

Support should have shut you down if you were truly running an unsupported configuration instead of stringing you along for two weeks trying to make it work.

Win2012 R2 support comes via this full install:

NB_7.6.0.3.winnt.x64.Server.Win2012R2.exe provides a full installer for NetBackup 7.6.0.3 Servers on x64 Windows 2012 R2
 http://symantec.com/docs/TECH217834

Could you try again with a 7.6.0.3 master and client and see if things work any better?

7.6.0.3 Download Links

If you don't mind, could you please PM me your case ID?
