Large DSSU - how to divide?

Stafford
Level 4
Taking over an old Fujitsu Eternus array that is no longer being used in production and setting it up as a DSSU.  It's roughly 34TB raw (240x143GB) and I'm wondering how I should split it up.  There's a happy medium between having too many DSSU's that can fill quickly while others are empty and having one massive DSSU which will (probably) never fill as well as the logistics of having to run relocation jobs for a larger number of DSSU's.  Right now off the top of my head I'm leading towards splitting it in 4 and then putting them in storage unit groups.  From a configuration perspective, I'm going to keep it simple with jobs destined only the same volume pools.  Any one-off jobs will stick with the old disk.

Any issues, performance or otherwise, with having LUNs above a certain size on Solaris 10?  Any other logistical reason to split this even further?  Any consideration points I'm missing?
