You will need logs to see what exactly is happening.

First log is bpbkar on Notes client with logging level between 1 and 3.
This log will tell us what exactly is collected on the client and sent to media server.
Event Viewer Application log may also help to see what is happening as far as Lotus Notes is concerned.

On media server, helpful logs will be bpbrm and bptm to see if any data or metadata is received.

Please upload logs as File attachments.

Not enough info in level 0 log.

We can see that a backup started and that it seems no data was read or sent on Notes client and that the backup timed out 5 minutes later:

The default Client Read Timeout is 300 (5 minutes). The media server will terminate the backup if no data is received within this timeout.

You can increase this timeout, but you need to find out why Notes server is taking so long to collect and send data.

What else is running on the Notes server at this point in time?
You may want to check other software installed here such as Anti Virus s/w.
