As noted on the "featured" post (aka sticky) please include details on your migration such as source and target OS, NBU version, etc. This is a timesaver for everyone.

keep in mind that you maybe need also some keys of the registry (windows) or the bp.conf (unix). you can recreate them if you lost them. Also you may need the vm.conf
You can not move a windows to a unix or vice versa. It is doable but it is not easy and not supported.

Migrating from a Solaris Master/media server to Windows is exactly the thing I was tasked with. I realize it's not supported, but how would I go about migrating to Windows from Solaris?
Would it be better to just stand up a new Windows server and re-catalog the tapes? It would probably take a month or more ...
