Hi,
We have a NBU 7.1 clustered master + 2 medias -> FW -> DMZ domain to backup.
In the DMZ domain we have a few W2K8R2 servers. Most work well but ONE will not work and results in errors 25.
The server in question has 5 IPs (all in IPv4) running on one NIC which is the problem most likely.
DNS resolution is working fine - I also tried to remove the reverse DNS lookup in the client but that didn't help.
I checked all the logs but never found what exactly is blocking the backup. The bpcd logs show the connection coming but always time out without reason. bpbkar doesn't even get a chance to run.
The only way i can make the backup work is to fix one of the IPs of the client in all the host files of the NBU servers - then it runs without a problem.
Then last night, without any reason, all the servers in this DMZ also got the error 25. If i run the backups manually, they run perfectly.

I cannot change the W2K8 strong network model. We have all the ports opened on the W2K8 side. We just cannot find the why this status 25 comes. Sometimes we also get status 23 but rarely.
Im not new to NBU but 7.1 and W2k8R2 are kind of new - i know my way around. I tried all i could find in the technical help but none that could help me to resolve this so far.
Any suggestions related to W2K8 welcome.
