Hi
Here's the thing:
MSL2024-LTO5 attached via SAS to a NBU 7.5.01 media server. Also attached a DD660 via 10GB by OST. Server is running Win2008R2.
Duplication performance disk-to-tape sucks.
When I try to configure Buffer size to 256k, I get the following error:
"Error bptm(pid=7220) The tape device at index -1 has a maximum block size of 65536 bytes, a buffer size of 262144 cannot be used"
Installed Windows driver for LTO is HP's current driver.
In the old times, I would install the Symantec drivers, but, AFAIK ther are no Symantec drivers for 64bit Windows systems.
Any idea, anyone?
Cheers,
Thomas

It's likely to be the HBA that has the limitation og 64K, not the tape drive itself.
