Hello
I have an issue where Netbackup is recalling the placeholders (Enterprise Vault shortcuts) while taking the full backup of our File System archiving target volume and then I need to manually run the FSA task to free the space.
This has only happened 3 times within the last 2 years and I was wondering whether anyone came across with something similar?
Thanks.

You need to ensure the backup processes have been excluded from recall in EV.
So exclude bpfis.exe and bpbkar32.exe by adding them to the ExcludedExes registry key on the file servers (under HKLM\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\FSA\PlaceholderService\ [or Wow6432Node on 64 bit])
seperate them by a semi colon and then re-start the placeholder service
Hope this helps
