NBU for Dummies - how to install Java console on ubuntu

I am an old DOS/Windows dog, a first-timer in Linux.

I have a virtual ubuntu 9.10 box upon which I need to install the NetBackup 6.5.4 Admin Java GUI, and I don't have a clue how to get started.

I've never installed anything on a Linux box, I am a real newbie.  Can someone help?

If so, you would've had to install the java GUI as part of the installation.  If that is the case, then just execute the jnbSA file located under <install_path>/openv/netbackup/bin

You will need to make sure your auth.conf file has correctly been set up to allow you access to the java GUI.

This is a clean box - not a client, not a media or master server.  Nothing installed, only what was included in the image.

I literally have never installed anything on a UNX/Linux system.
