Hi All,
Good day! Seeking for help on my issue on netbackup. Our msdp storage is almost full at the moment. And since we have a duplicate copy of the backupfile on the other msdp storage, we're planning to force expire the old backup on the primary copy. Then will import the duplicate copy to the primary whenever we need it. We came up to this plan thinking that we can freeup some disk space. Is this possible? Please advise.
Thank you for your help!

It MAY help if no other images depend on expired image.
Bear in mind that dedupe storage expiration does not work like basic disk expiration where entire image is deleted from disk.
Then there is also the dedupe cleanup processes that must run before space is released.

Hopefully this helps to understand how it works
How to reclaim deduplication storage space manually (PureDisk Storage Pool and NetBackup Media Server Deduplication Pool)
