NBU lic in virtual

Hi,

The latest licensing guide for NBU 7.5 in Virtual says either one of the followings can be used to license a client:

- NBU Ent Client

- NBU Std Client

The guide says "Std" is used when using "in-guest protection hypervisor support".

Can someone provide easy guide on when to use Ent and Std, please?

Generally Stnd in most clients is sufficient.

You would use Ent clients when there is a need for something like flashsnap, or perhaps a client is acting as a proxy host for HOTADD backups.  

The thing is you buy an Enterprise client for the Physical ESX host, and you can install unlimited client agents (stnd or Ent) on any guest OS that runs on that ESX host that you licensed.  So ideally you license the physical machines, so as to cover any virtual machines via unlimited licenses.
