netbackup client software is installed in NDMP host or not.in admin guide mentioned that as It also runs an NDMP server
application that communicates with NDMP client backup software to configure and perform backup and restore tasks.
NAS systems provide fast, multi-protocol file access and cost effective data storage to workstations and servers in the
network or across the Internet. In a NetBackup configuration, the NDMP host is considered a client of NetBackup. However, NetBackup client software is never installed on an NDMP host.my qusestion is if NBU client software is not installed in ndmp host then how it is send the backup data to a destination storage devices

It is not installed on the NDMP host. All you need to do is provide the credentials of the NDMP hosts in the NetBackup console (configuration) and then create a policy to backup the NDMP volumes. You can optionally connect your tape devices directly to the filer and configure an NDMP storage unit in NetBackup. The NDMP filer can then write directly to tape. Once the policy is executed NetBackup will request the filer send its data to the storage device in configured in the policy (local or remotely accross the LAN).

NetBackup server software on NDMP host includes NBU client software. So, no additional software is installed. The NDMP host sends instructions to NAS filer to run backup using tar or dump command.
