Need detailed image info before restoring any data

Good afternoon,

I am in the process of restoring multiple images from quite a while ago. I have the tapes onsite but need to inform the storage guys as to how much space I will need for each image. Would be nice to do this before the tapes are returned.

I have have tried bpimage and bpimagelist and cannot quite get what I need.

Thanks in advance.......

but maybe consider bpflist

How to determine exactly what data is on a piece of media for a specific client

Definition of each field in the bpflist command output.

Unfortunately I've not the resources at home to help you further with testing, scripts etc!

If it was the full contents of the tape that'd probably be easier!

Have a look at

bpimage -backupid <backupID>

That has KB and other info.

Image size can been viewed in the BAR GUI. Right click on the image symbol and uncheck "show NetBackup History as timeline" then you will see a display like this with image size.
