Need help for Error: 13

Hi All,

I am getting below error in detailed status for a FS Backup in all the streams, Windows, 7.5.0.6

28/01/2014 23:00:11 - Info bptm(pid=XXXX) backup child process is pid XXXX
29/01/2014 01:40:11 - Error bpbrm(pid=XXXX) socket read failed: errno = 62 - Timer expired    
29/01/2014 01:40:13 - Error bptm(pid=XXXX) media manager terminated by parent process       
29/01/2014 01:55:44 - Info BBBBBBB(pid=XXXX) StorageServer=PureDisk:AAAAAAAA; Report=PDDO Stats for (AAAAAAAA): scanned: 3 KB, CR sent: 0 KB, CR sent over FC: 0 KB, dedup: 100.0%

socket read failed: errno = 62 - Timer expired  

This is normally a 'Client Read Timeout' that kicks in on the media server.
The default is 300 (5 minutes). You can try to increase this timeout, but you need to check the client to find out why it is not sending data.

What else is running on this client at around midnight?
How many concurrent streams are you trying to backup?
What is AV scan policy?
Anything in Event Viewer logs over this period?
 

We can ask you for bpbkar log, but that will only tell us what is happening in NBU, not with the rest of the system...
