Need to take backup of particular drive from LINUX client

Dear All,

I'm using Netbackup 7.5, client requirement to take backup of a drive in LINUX machine, when I check the previous backup all Linux backup runs in script.

Kindly advice me, does symantec takes backup of a linux machine only through scirpt?

If does could any one help me out in it.

Where do you see that the Linux backups 'run in a script'?

This is not the normal way to backup filesystems Linux or any other OS.
Scripts are normally used for database agents (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, etc) not for OS or filesystems.

To backup a volume/folder/filesystem on Linux client, create a policy with Standard as policy type.
Select Storage unit (and other required attributes).
Add schedules.
Add client name in Clients tab
Specify folder or mount point in Backup Selection.

Thanks for the help, actually the scripts which I was speaking is for database agents (Oracle), Sorry confused.

Had sceduled the backup by giving backup policy type as Standard.
