Just wondering if anyone else has ran into the error message 1304 when upgrading Server 2003 clients? The specific error message states "Error 1304.Error writing to file D:\shared\diskrtl.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory." Although when I install the client I keep all the defaults of c:\programfiles\veritas. I also tried to uninstall 6.0 MP4 and then tried fresh install of 6.5 and still get the same error message. I am able to install 6.0 with no issues at all so I am not sure what the difference in the install at all.
Resolution was to give the Local Administrators group full control of the D:\Shared directory.I found it in an unrelated Microsoft KB. I was just installing the NBU Client, not upgrading. Hope it helps.
