Netbackup 7.0 backward compatibility with Solaris 8 and HP-UX 11.00 clients

Has anyone who has migrated to Netbackup 7.0 on the master/media end have experience with older (unsupported in the matrix) OS versions?  I know that Solaris 8 and HP-UX 11.00 are no longer supported clients, but do they work running the 6.5.4 client with a 7.0 master/media infrastructure?  We have a few key older systems which are running these legacy OS versions and it would be nice if I could go to 7.0 for its new features which are very desirable for us without worrying about backups on these few older systems.

I don't have experience with NBU 7 servers and 6.x clients, but it's 100% supported.
