Netbackup 7.5.0.4 SLP Duplication fails randomly with status 191

Hello,

we have the Problem, that our SLP Duplication fail with status no images were successfully processed(191), but after a fiew attempts the duplication is successfull.

Its always another Image.

After we have use the bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache command, the duplication works fine for one day. But than the same Issue.

This seems to be the actual error:

Duplicate of backupid MediaSrv_1366313836 failed, database system error (220).    

Do you have bpdbm log folder on the master server?
If not, create the folder and restart NBU.
After next failure, copy log to bpdbm.txt and upload as File attachment.

This may well be your de-dupe pool bouncing up and down

Run an All Log Entries report for a 24 hour period and see if it is reporting that happening.

Adding the touch file below with a value of 800 in it to your Master and Media Servers can help here:

/usr/openv/netbackup/db/config/DPS_PROXYDEFAULTRECVTMO

(or equivalent path for Windows Media Servers)

It could also be a lack of available TCPIP ports issue - what O/S are your Master and Media Servers and which version and patch level of NetBackup are you using?
