Netbackup Duplication and vaulting

i need to understand how to get the policies that are inline enabled? duplication enabled? vaulting enabed?

How these are related ?

Not quite sure what you are asking but the common thing in the terms you have used is that they all produce more than one copy of the backup

Inline - takes effectively two copies simultaneousy

Duplication - done manually, using disk staging, Storage Lifecycle Policies or Vault take the initial backup and then makes a duplicate copy of that backup

Vault - makes duplicate copies of backup using the vault profile (licensed option)

Tell us what you have in terms of disk / tape, what version of NetBackup you use, what licenses you have and most importantly what you hope to acheive and we will guide you further

We have capacity based licensing.

how to verify whether the backup polices are enabled with duplication? inline ? or vault?

Final destination storage unit duplication is set in the storage unit.

Multiple copies (inline copy ) is set in the policy >schedule

SLP is set under SLP in storage in th GUI

NetBackupManagement > Storage > Storage Lifecycle Policies.

Vault is set in the Vault option in the GUI
