Netbackup Enterprise Server v6 catalogues

I wish to uncompress the catalogues as I have heard this can slow down the performance of the master server. Is the correct method to set the global attributes on the master server "compress catalogue interval" to 0 Days, then run "bpimage -decompress -allclients" to uncompress the catalogue (after I have identified I have enough space.
