Netbackup Media Management

Hi,

Would like to know what is the options for the media management of Netbackup during holiday.

Eg. Daily Volume Pool -

Week 1: Set 1

Week 2: Set 2

Week 3: Set 3

Week 4: Set 1

Tape is loaded to the library every Monday for the whole week. But in case of holiday falls on Monday, we want to load the tape earlier (Friday), but do not want the tape to be pickup. All the image on the tape is already expired, and the media state is AVAILABLE.

Why do you want to micro-manage media?

Allow NBU to use any expired media without trying to limit NBU to specific 'media sets'.

It is easy enough to track media expiration dates with Vault or standard NBU reports (like Tape Summary report in Verbose mode).
