Netbackup Oracle Agent / Rman Database Pack

Hi

can you someone tell me if the SYMC NETBACKUP CLIENT APPLICATION AND
DATABASE PACK 7.0 UNX 1 SERVER product is compatable with my Windows 2003 Master Media server which has Netbackup 6.56 ??

My Oracle databases are on HP UX 11.31 on Integrity Blades

The HP ux currently has netbackup client 6.0 mp 4

Generally you cannot install a client with a version higher than the master and the media servers covering the data move. That is, a 7.0.1 client is not supported with a 6.5.6 master/media. It may work, but not supported.

Maybe the question is regarding 7.0 license key on a 6.x installation?

If that is the case - my suggestion is to add the license key on your 6.5 master and see if it works. If not, contact Symantec Customer Care.   See:
