I am currently running netbackup 6.5.5 on physical windows servers 32bit. I am planing to upgrade to NBU 7 64bit soon. I would like to have a complete virtual infrastructure if possible. Is this advisable? just looking for some pros and cons of this method. I backup to DataDomain devices and it is replicated off-site, I only make one set of tapes per month, So I am thinking that I need at least 1 physical server to control the tape library, but would like to have as much virtual as possible.
