Netbackup for VMware compatibility with tape library

Just i need to know if the backup of vmware is supported with tape volume pool as backup destination.

Yes ofcourse ! VMware backups can be targeted to a Tape Drive.

Yes we can take VMware policy backup on Tape. Recommendation is use media server as backup host for better performance.

Tape is supported on physical media servers. All policy types can be backed up to tape, including VMware.
If you want to use features such as VMware Instant Recovery, the backup must be on disk.

If want to configure media server on VM, then only disk is supported, not tape.
