append /usr/openv/man in your $PATH

Sorry, should be MANPATH instead.

Hi, still not able to view the manual pages after it is added.

PATH=$PATH:/usr/platform/sun4u/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/openwin/bin:/usr/ucb:/etc:/usr/openv/netbackup/bin:/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies:/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd:/usr/openv/volmgr/bin:.:/usr/openv/man
export PATH

Thank you.

Thanks a lot! I'd change to MANPATH, it works. A bit confusing as our previous version 4.5 did not require to have MANPATH.

In 6.0, is it a must to have MANPATH and wat is the meaning for it actually? Thanks.

Glad to hear that you were able to add to the $MANPATH.

I have also downloaded the commands pdf manual to my desktop and use the search engine. This is very helpful for when the commands interact with one another. All of the man pages are in this manual
VERITAS NetBackup (tm) 6.0 Commands for UNIX
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/279299.htm

Also you can sometimes get additional information on usage with
bp -help (avoid just using h since it is sometimes valid)
bp -H ( some commands give additional info with uppercase)
bp -Q (EVERYTHING from -Q is undocumented)
