Only one of two tape drives being used

Windows 2003 Std R2

Hi all,

I have a Master/Media server with two drives.

I've noticed that only one drive is being used to write backups.

Both drives are configured as DLT2 and are associated with the same storage unit.

The tape library (ADIC 100) and operating system can see both drives.  They have the same driver loaded in the o/s.

If I disable the one good working drive in the o/s and run the Configure Storage Devices wizard in NBU, it successfully detects the other drive, but still no backups are able to use it.  The backup job reports "no drives available"

I can however successfully run robtest and load and unload tapes from this drive.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks,

Matt

Bill is correct - stuck/orphaned resource allocation. All other output 100% fine. *** EDIT **** Just way too slow using Mobile Connect while stuck in traffic!
