I added the following lines in the bp.conf in the client machine.and it works fine now.

setenv NB_ORA_POLICY policyname

setenv NB_ORA_SCHED application_backup_schedule_name

setenv NB_ORA_SERV NetBackup_server

Status 29 : http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO34915

 Script exited with status = 29 <failed trying to exec a command>

The script run had an error - try running it by hand and observe output error including warnings, bad options or qualifiers (bad format date for example). Check permissions as well.

Review the dbclient log on the client machine for clues.  If you still have trouble, post your script and dbclient log as attachments so we can see what the cause might be.

FYI,

I used rman script located in the client then  i added to the oracle policy in selection,I confused if ths make sense or not ,where the master is windowd machine(script.cmd) and the client unix machine(script.sh).

The other thing can I get more details about permission? what permission you mean exactly?sysdba?
