We have money in the budget to purchase new hardware for our upgrade to 7.0.1. We are currently running Netbackup 6.5.3 on a Sunfire V480 which has 4 Gb memory and 2 CPU. We backup roughly 105+ Tb of data a week via 950 + clients which are a mix of Windows, Solaris, Unix, and NDMP on EMC and NETAPP. We also have 11 Windows media servers (mix of 2003 and 2008). I would like to migrate to a Windows master server if possible. I've read that importing a catalog backed up via Solaris is not supported on a Windows master server. Does anyone know if this can be done? Does anyone else have a backup infrastructure this large running on a Windows master server? If so, what hardware are you using? If you prefer Unix, what hardware are you running on? Any other suggestions?

Yes the migration is possible. But it is current done only symantec consulting.
