Run 'Tape summary' report with Verbose option selected.
It will give you all tapes with a section for each retention period.
(same as bpmedialist -summary -v)

bpmedialist -summery should do that
Also go through following TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH20462

If you need to find how many tapes have a specific retention level (eg. 10 years) and not the tapes that are expiring in 10 years, run the command "available_media" from a cmd, located at the goodies directory.
One of the columns is the retention level. Then you can mach it with the retention period.
also the bpmedialist command gives you the retention level but the output is not in one line and it is difficult to process. It may be useful with -L or -l
