Regarding NBU 7.5 Upgrade

Hi All,

Our current master server and media server is running on NBU 7.0.1 on Windows 2008 R2 , now we have to configured a new media server on the Windows 2008 R2 , but the license we received from Symantec is for NBU 7.5 , I doubt this configuration is supported in NBU that media server is running on higher version , please confirm on my statement .

Also if I have to upgrade my Master to 7.5 shall I upgrade it to 7.5 using the 7.0.1 license as we are not using the De-duplication in our environment .

Rohit,

I would suggest getting a 7.5 license for your Master server if you are upgrading to 7.5, if you have a contract you should be able to get this from Customer services or the licensing portal https://licensing.symantec.com/acctmgmt/index.jsp

If you want your media server at 7.0.1 then just get the 7.0.1 license. 7.5 license should be backwards compatibile from memory, but if you use 7.5 with 7.0.1 license you will not have some features.

Goto customer support if you are in doubt.
