Remote NDMP_backup_failed

Hi All,

Remote NDMP backup has failed with error code 99.I have copied the error as got in the activity monitor. Pls help us to resolve the same.

Details:

Netbackup Base version:6.5

Upgraded to 6.5.4

Type of backup failed: Remote NDMP.

Plotform:solaris10

ERROR:

-ERROR ndmpagent (pid=19705)failed to bind to point in Server Port Window (Check port ranges in Host poperties)

-ERROR ndmpagent (pid=19705) NDMP backup failed ,path=/vol/vol1/home1

-positoed S010L3,Positoned time:0:01:07

-Begin writing

Is this a new policy that has nev er backed up properly or is this a policy that was writing jobs successfully and now is failing with a status 99?

It was existed one which was writing  jobs successfully

Status 99 could be caused by path issues. 

Did you make any changes to the backup selections list?  Did you add new paths?  If so check for typos that could keep NBU from accessing the path.  Second, if you did not modify the backup selections list, check what is currently in it.  Check these paths and make sure they are available.   I would start by looking at /vol/vol01/home1.
