Looks like permission related or some other issues on your target, F drive. Are you able to write to this drive manually?

Thank you much for responding,

I tried to restore to other targets, but also with no luck.  I get the following when job says incomplete.

restored image FlatFileServer_1215757765 - (the restore failed to recover the requested files(5)); restore

7/18/2008 1:59:56 PM - Warning bprd(pid=692) Restore must be resumed prior to first image expiration on 7/25/2008 2:29:25 AM
7/18/2008 1:59:56 PM - end Restore; elapsed time: 00:03:02
the restore failed to recover the requested files(5)

Thanks again,

You will have to look at the detailed log restore job creates to get to the real error. I will suggest, remove any existing file and directory you have at the target location and then perform restore. Also, you may want to do a test restore of small file from same backup to any location on that server as well as locally on master/media server. Just to rule out any connectivity related issue.

I will do that first thing Monday morning and post the results.

The outcome:  Anything I restore locally will restore fine.  But I can not restore anything regrdless of size on any target server.  When I restore to a client i get the following:

Please note the line in Red, it seems that it is trying to restore the file to a drive D on the Master server (not sure if this is actually is the issue here)

The file is suppose to be restored on a Databaseserver03 not MastBackup

I am sure you must have changed the destination client name to target client but just wanted to confirm.

Also, is there any changes in the NBU licensing, remove any keys recently?

NormanB747

I have not made any changes to Licensing removal or additions.  The change that I know i made is that I removed the old catalog tape and added a new Catalog tape.

Have you tried restoring to a client with different MP revisions?

MP5?

MP6?

We only run MP6 on out Master Server it caused problems with out File Servers.

We run MP5 on all clients.

Maybe it can only restore to MP7??

I am going to ask the same question has Rakesh

did you change your destination server?

on yoru first post

14:14:48 (14470.001) INF - Beginning restore from server MVMVNB to client mvmfp1.
you werver trying to restore from a backup of MVMVNB to server mvmfp1  ( does mvmfp1 even have a F drive?)

double check when you try the restore that your Source and Destation are the same and try again.
