Restore was in mounting state only

Hello All,

We are using NBU 7.0.1 Master /2008

Client 7.0/ 2008

the backup was succesfully completed on "87w0001" and now we are trying to restore the data to "01w0016" client server, but in the job details it was was showing as "begin reading", in the operation tab in the activity monitor it was showing as "mounting" state only and the im not able to restore the data. could any help me on this. Thanks in Advance.

Thanks four you info marianne,i understand the situation, but my Mang is asking to enable the firewall, its Mandatory.

But i enabled the ports 13782,13724,1556 in the firewall, but im worried why the firewall is not allowing the data to transfer, any idea's on this.

You will need to log a call with Microsoft.

All we can see from NBU point of view is that comms is not happening from the client side.
Why comms is blocked even with ports allowed, is something that the Firewall vendor need to fix.

How are you backing up and restoring the rest of your environment?

In Most of the servers "Firewall" is enabled, and backup & restore are running through firewall only.

There is clearly something different about this particular server.

The OS/Firewall support team will have to investigate.
