SAN media server parent job hangs

Hi All,

Master server: NBU 6.5.3.1

We have a SAN media server (Linux) installed with NBU 6.5.3.1 for which backups are cron scheduled.

The parent stream remains active even after all the streams completed successfully.

This is casuing the hung bpbackup commands in the SAN media server.

Please let me know what could be the problem and how to resolve it.

As a start - ensure that you have logs.

bpbackup should have '-L <log file>' as part of the command.

Also ensure bpbkar, bpbrm and bptm log dirs on the San Media server.

Sounds like it could be a disconnect between bpbrm on the media server and nbjm on the master.

In both bpbkar and bpbrm logs I found nothing about the parent stream (I haven't increased Verbosity in the san media server as it would fill up the disk). bpbkar and bpbrm has the logs for all the child streams for which completed successfully.
