SAP verify a successful backup by doing a bplist for each file. If bplist fails for a single file, the entire backup fails.

Check for the following:
  • Verify the right client is listed in initSID.sap
  • Verify the right client is listed in initSID.utl
  • verify no local bp.conf is present in e.g /oracle/SID/bp.conf
  • Verify environment variables are configured correct.
For additional debug add a directory called backint in /usr/openv/netbackup/logs and do a chmod 777 on the backint directory so SAP can log information into the directory.

In you're case there may be a misspelled client name somewhere. The backint log should show what names are used.
