Slow Disk Staging ?

Hmm, - anyone seen: diskstaging from DSSU to tape much slower than a backup
direct to tape or disk. Slower by half speed of same data copied the same way. (idle
box, (ex. 10-20Gb in 20 files) one lonely datastream)(win,linux.. same) 

Seen on several NBU versions... have'nt foundt it a tuning issue.

What version of NBU?  Exactly which O/Ses are involved?

Have you recently upgraded?  From what to what?

Seen on installed: Win2003/32 NBU6.0 and 65

And seen on same upgraded to 65.

And seen on RH4.0 NBU60 upgraded to 65.

Strange thing, all the hardware is performing much faster doing a "OS-copy" or a netbackup to tape/disk.

I have enaugh buffers, idle box, tuning doesn't change result much.

It's when I stage the same data, things takes loooooonger time.  - do Test it...

(or do anyone see stagejobs running at 'hardware-speeds')
