Hi all,

has anyone tried and been successful to upgrade from NBU 7.0.1 to 7.1 under Solaris 10 OS x86?
Or does anyone facing problems with or after the upgrade?

Regards,
Martin

Have a look at this TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH156810

NetBackup 7.1 upgrade delays for hours if many policies contain clients with PC hardware for supported Windows operating system versions

Please also carefully read the 7.1 LBN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH153422

I've been watching the LBN technote since we have been planning to up grade to 7.1 this month, but I never saw the TECH156810 one.  How did you find that?  And (rhetorically) why isn't that listed on the LBN yet???

My question exactly !!

I have requested it to be added in LBN 'rate this article'.

I receive emails from 'veritas-bu' mailing list that is linked to bakupcentral.com.

One of the users emailed his experience. He logged a call while battling with an upgrade and was given the TN by the Symantec Engineer.

Another user responded with:

"Wish I would have read this yesterday.  I'm in the middle of an upgrade right now and all my window's policies are slowly being converted right now.  I figure it should finish in 10 hours.  I'm very lucky to have the ability to keep this env down this long.  Little upset that this known issue wasn't published on the 7.1 late breaking news website."
