SunOS 5.8 and RedHat 2.1AS Clients

We got a NetBackup 7.0.1 environment, with mostly Windows 2003/2008 and Linux machines, but also two Sun Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8) machines and one old RedHat v2.1AS.

We received 3 NetBackup Client v6.5 packages:

NetBackup_6.5_CLIENTS1.tar.gz (567,313 KB)

NetBackup_6.5_CLIENTS2.tar.gz (425,454 KB)

NetBackup_6.5_CLIENTS3.tar.gz (359,438 KB)

Before we fiddle around on these production servers, can someone shed more light on which we're supposed to use for SunOS 5.8 and which for the RedHat 2.1AS???

(I think the original is on fileconnect where you would download the s/w itself, something along the lines of "NetBackup6.5CD_Content...")

Client1: Tru64(Alpha), HP Risc/IA64 & AIX

Client2: Mac, all supported Linux: RedHat & Suse IA64/x86/X64, also IBMx and PowerPC

Client3: Solaris Sparc & x86, FreeBSD and SGI-Irix

So certainly client3 for your Solaris boxes. Not sure about the 2.1AS Linux as can't see that specifically in the OS Compatibility Guide (but then I've never been clear with any Linux release!):
