Unable to connect to the EMM Server

I currently loaded out a server with Microsoft Server 2008 R2 Standard. We then loaded NetBackup 7.1 onto the server. All of the driversare loaded for the storage devices, but when trying to connect to the administraton console we receive the following errors "Unable to connect to the enterprise media manager Server" "Unable to connect to the EMM Server(77)

Is this the admin console on the master or on a remote server?

check that all your media servers are available and if you are using a remote box this must be able to see the Master from all directions as IP, DNS, Routes,etc.

run the command: nbemmcmd -getemmserver under the master server to ensure it can see it self also do it from the Media Server or Admin Console host.

nbemmcmd -listsettings

nbemmcmd -machinealias

nbemmcmd -listhosts

nbemmcmd -listmedia

clear cache then add emmserver name in FQDN
