I try to log in Netback up java console but it giving me an error " Unable to login, status:525 cannot connect to the NB-Java authentication service via VNETD on netbak on port 13724. Check the log file for more detail". Where is the log file located? I am new to Netback up. Please give me some solutions to overcome the problem. I will appreciate you guys.

What is your OS and OS level that netbackup is running on (Solaris, HP, AIX..etc)?

But what Unix operating system? If you do a uname -a what does it show you?

You can check you /etc/services file for vnetd entry and make sure the right port is specified.
If your operationg system is Solaris 9 or less you can check the inetd.conf file for a vnetd entry.  If there is none you can copy the one for the servies file and see if that corrects the 525 error.
