Updating NetBackup 6.5 Clients

Hi everyone,
 
I am upgrading a UNIX NetBackup client from 6.0 MP4 to 6.5.  On page 58 of the 6.5 Install Guide for UNIX are instructions to run the  install  script on the client which I ran successfully.  Then step 8 at the bottom of the page says to run the  update_clients  script.  Why?  The client was just upgraded using the  install  script?  Is this documentation correct?  I need some clarification about this.

I believe the update_client command is only needed if the install was done with the Solaris pkgadd command instead of the install command.

update_clients is run on the master server. It allows to add maintenance packs and upgrades from the master to all your Unix clients.
